Black Beekeeper Mentoring Program
The face of beekeeping is often not associated with Black bodies. Black beekeepers are a small population in the United States, and much of our presence and history has been erased.
As more Black people gain interest in beekeeping, many are without the proper support needed to achieve sustainable apiaries that are able to provide for their communities and livelihoods.
2024 Mentor Program
The Black Beekeepers Coalition (Karyn Bigelow from Beekeeping While Black is on the leadership team) will be offering support in Winter and Spring 2024 to help match new Black beekeepers to experienced Black beekeepers. In addition to the mentor matching effort, we plan to host regular sessions for new beekeepers to get support and have community.

If you are a new beekeeper and interested in getting support to match with a mentee, then you can find fill out the form here.
